Astrology is one of the oldest divinatory tools in human history, dating back thousands of years to the Babylonians and the Egyptians. Astrologers use astronomical observations, psychology, and a bit of intuition to draw conclusions about human functioning and world events.

Signs
You are probably familiar with the many of the signs in astrology. When people ask your birthday and follow that up with “what sign are you?”, you probably have an answer for them. The sign you’re discussing in these conversations is your sun sign. It means that the sun was transiting through that particular sign on the day you were born. The sun is not the only planet that matters in astrology, though. There are 11 other main “planets” to consider! We’ll get to that later. To start, here is a brief overview of each of the 12 signs:
